Located among the many mangrove islands of southwest Florida's coast, Marco Island is a tropical paradise surrounded by miles of pristine white sand beaches, a number of bays, canals, inlets and the Gulf of Mexico. Naples and downtown 5th Avenue are just to the north and only a short ride away by car. Don't want to drive, take your boat up to Tin City or Bayfront in Naples, which is just a short walk to 5th Avenue. To the south lies the 10,000 Islands with miles and miles of coast to fish and explore. To the east you have a number of state and local parks including the enormous Everglades National Park that teems with wildlife and offers adventurers the opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife in its undisturbed natural habitat.
Four miles wide by six miles long, Marco Island is home to about 14,000 year-round residents. During the months of January through March however, the island population swells to well over 30,000 due to the season and the many people who come into town to escape the cold and snow of the North. It's easy to see why, with almost constant sunshine and winter temperatures normally in the 70's and 80's.
